Here you'll find information on using the ETH print services, formerly known as PIA Services.

Can be used to release queued print jobs, which don't show up on the printer.

Platform-independent printing

Documents can be uploaded and printed through the following web interfaces, without the requirement of installing any drivers:

Printing via IPP

Due to a bug, user with selfmanaged machines have problems lately to authenicate themselfs to the VPP printer queue. After typing the credentials a window like "The credentials supplied are not sufficient to access this printer. Do you want to specify new credentials?" pops up.

There are following possible solutions:

1. For PDFs use webupload via https://piaweb01.ethz.ch

2. Connect to the printer via IPP protocol just like described here: https://unlimited.ethz.ch/x/bCQwBQ
