Here you'll find information on using the ETH print services, formerly known as PIA Services.

Warning

Due to PrintNightmare users are not able to install printers themself. Until Microsoft fixes this problem you should use the PIA Webinterface (only available in the ETH Network (or through VPN)).

Printing via IPP

Due to a bug, user with selfmanaged machines have problems lately to authenicate themselfs to the VPP printer queue. After typing the credentials a window like "The credentials supplied are not sufficient to access this printer. Do you want to specify new credentials?" pops up.

There are following possible solutions:

For PDFs use webupload via https://piaweb01.ethz.ch
Connect to the printer via IPP protocol just like described here: https://unlimited.ethz.ch/x/bCQwBQ
