How can I connect to X-servers via Putty SSH or SSH Client?
PuTTY SSH:
Open the PuTTY configuration window in Start->Programs->Internet->PuTTY
Choose SSH->Tunnels in the left part of the window
- Check 'Enable X11 forwarding' and enter 'localhost:0' in the X display location-window underneath
SSH client:
Open SSH client in Start->Programs->Internet->SSH client
- Open 'Settings..' in the Edit Menu
- Choose 'Tunneling' in the left part of the window
Check TunnelX11 connections
Alternaltively, you can install X-Win32 from Add/Remove Programs, the newest version has integrated ssh support, and allows you to setup a 'rlogin'-style directly.
