At the ITET there are no Windows computers for students. In the ETH main building, there are some Windows boxes you can use with your NETHZ account.

If you have questions regarding the Windows setup on your laptop, within Neptun project and as a student of D-ITET feel free to contact us for help.

Employees at D-ITET have Windows terminal server (vega7) at their disposal.

Private devices

Network access with laptops

In order to provide a reliable computing environment we ask you not to connect any of your own devices to the infrastructure in the computer rooms ETZ D 61.1, ETZ D 61.2 and ETZ D 96.

In the lobby of the ETZ building (E floor), the lectures-rooms and in the Gloriabar you can connect over the wireless LAN to the ETH network. Here you find the complete list of WLAN stations. Our buildings are called ETZ, ETF and ETL.

You can find hints about ETH-wireless-LAN in here.

VPN

You must authenticate on the VPN-server with your n.ethz password. Why VPN and how to install it you can find on these websites.
