Important Information about Exchange Online (ExO) and Outlook (new)

S/MIME support under Windows in Outlook (new) is currently not available.

However, it should be possible to use it with a tool called [S/MIME control].

IMPORTANT PRIVACY CONCERNS!

Please note that generally, all passwords entered in Outlook (new) are sent to Microsoft. This applies to all private email accounts such as gmx, gmail, etc. EXCEPTION: the ETH email password! For the ETH email account, the password is replaced by a token that Microsoft receives. This token does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the password.
