How to add ETH LDAP adressbook to Outlook

In MS Outlook do the following:

  1. Click 'File -> Account Settings -> Account Settings -> Tab: Addressbook -> Click: New...

  2. Choose 'Internet Directory (LDAP) -> Next' and make following settings:

      Servername: ldap.ethz.ch
  3. Click Button: More Settings...
      Tab: Connection -> Connection Details -> Port: 389
      Tab: Search -> Search Base -> Option: User defined: o=ethz,c=ch
  4. Click Ok -> Next -> Finish -> Close

  5. Restart Outlook
  6. Click 'New Email'
  7. Now, in the 'To:' or 'Cc:' field, type some letters of the name or email address you wish to search for and press CTRL+K on the keyboard.
