Problem

The KDE application menu has disappeared. Probably because the .kde in your home has been moved/ deleted.

Solution

On the login screen, go to console-mode using the following short-key: Ctrl-Alt-F2. Login and run the following command:

kbuildsycoca4 -noincremental
