When login under GNOME my Desktop Icons dissapeared

Problem

When login under GNOME under Debian Wheezy my Desktop Icons which I used to see and are still under ~/Desktop are not shown anymore.

Solution

  1. Start the dconf-editor

  2. Move to org -> gnome -> desktop -> background

  3. Set item show-desktop-icons to "true"
