EE WebMail Client

To access your emails without an dedicated imap email client program you have the ability to use our web-based email client. It works somewhat like HotMail or the GMX Webinterface.

We use Roundcube which is a browser-based multilingual IMAP client with an application-like user interface. It provides full functionality you expect from an email client, including MIME support, address book, folder manipulation, message searching and spell checking. All you need is a javascript-enabled and SSL-encryption capable Web browser (for example Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Chromium or Opera).

To access your emails you only need to login with your Credentials (the same name and password combination you use to login on our systems) on https://email.ee.ethz.ch

Since you can only use the SSL-encrypted access to the EE Web-Mailer both your username and password as well as your actual eMails are transmitted over the Internet in encrypted form. They are thus safe from unauthorized listeners.
